"WHAT'S going on Professor?" Mike shouted, terrified.
Dacota grabbed on to the Professor, as Mike and Aaron hit the ground. The Professor held up the locator and found the screen full of red blips. There were dinosaurs everywhere and all headed right for them.
"Something has spooked these dinosaurs. They are running for safety," shouted the Professor. "We all need to make it back to the Scorpium and in a hurry. Let's all stay close together. If anything happens, Mike, you make sure Aaron and Dacota are in the force field bubble with you, and then stay put until everything clears. I will make sure Sheldon stays with me - Sheldon, where's Sheldon?"
The Professor began to panic.
"He was looking for bugs. He must have wandered the other way when we weren't looking," shouted Aaron, worried about his little brother.
"Mike, look at your locator. Do you see the Scorpium?" shouted the Professor.
"Yeah."
"You three hold hands and head for it now. If you feel like you are in danger, any danger at all, stop and activate

the force field bubble. Do you understand?" shouted the Professor.
All three nodded.
"Then go! I'm heading back for Sheldon. I will meet you at the Scorpium as soon as possible!"
Mike frantically got up, looked at the locator and was ready to head towards the machine.
"Grab my hand!" he shouted.
"I'm not holding your hand Mike," yelled Aaron.
"Not you stupid, Dacota! You hold Dacota's other hand and let's get out of here. The Scorpium is that way."
The three boys grabbed hands and took off. Dacota was screaming all the way. The Professor held up his locator and saw all five yellow blips. Three were headed towards the machine. The Professor headed the other way towards Sheldon.
"Come on Sheldon, please be OK!" the Professor said to himself as he ran towards the yellow blip.
Sheldon had followed some insects through some tall grass before they disappeared into an old dead tree. That's when he heard the first loud roar and when the ground began to shake. He immediately jumped up to look around and noticed no one was there.
"Mike...Aaron...Dacota...Professor...?" shouted Sheldon.
-----------------------------------------------------------
No one answered. Sheldon began to get scared and started to cry.
"Dad, Dad, help me! Where are you?" he shouted.
Sheldon noticed a low branch on the tree and decided to climb up and take a look around. But he still couldn't see anyone. A small dinosaur ran by him, then another. Then there was another loud roar. It sounded close.
The Professor was running as fast as he could in Sheldon's direction, yelling out his name, hoping for a response.
"SHELDON, WHERE ARE YOU?" he shouted. "I'M COMING, JUST STAY PUT."
The Professor kept running as fast as he could. Several more dinosaurs ran past. There was another loud roar. This one was close. The Professor looked at his screen as he ran. Sheldon was nearby, but there were three red blips approaching fast.
"Tyrannosaurs, and they're hungry."
The Professor jumped over some bushes and landed in a small clearing. Across the clearing he saw Sheldon, sitting on a branch in a tree. The boy was terrified.
"SHELDON! I'M COMING! STAY THERE!" he shouted, waving his hands for Sheldon to see.
Sheldon saw the Professor coming across the field. He jumped from the tree, picked up his cage and started to run.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"PROFESSOR!" he screamed frantically.
"NO SHELDON, NO!" the Professor shouted. "DON'T RUN! STAY THERE!"
Around the trees came the first one. Then through the trees came the other two. They were tyrannosaurs looking for food, and they spotted Sheldon running through the clearing towards the Professor. The Professor began to run like he had never run before. He grabbed his force field generator out of his backpack and set the switch to maximum. He knew the field wouldn't be as strong, but it was his only chance. He had to get close enough to Sheldon to activate the force field before the tyrannosaurs got there.
"RUN SHELDON, RUN! DON'T STOP! I WILL GET YOU!" he shouted.
"Come on, just a little closer," he said to himself as he ran faster and faster "Almost there!"
One of the tyrannosaurs had Sheldon in his sight. It let out a big roar. The noise shook Sheldon and he fell to the ground. The tyrannosaur swung his head down at Sheldon but missed. The Professor dove through the air with the bubble generator stretched out as far as possible. He hit the activation switch and a bubble started to form through the air around him. He hit the ground about ten feet from Sheldon. The bubble just covered him and Sheldon as the tyrannosaurus slammed his head back down to grab dinner. He hit the bubble full force and it broke the field. The
-----------------------------------------------------------
tyrannosaurus was momentarily stunned and fell to its knees. The Professor scurried over to Sheldon, grabbed him, set the bubble generator to the smallest setting and activated it again. A new bubble formed over them. The other two tyrannosaurs had reached them and tried to smash through the bubble, but the bubble held.
Sheldon held onto the Professor terrified. The first tyrannosaurus got back up, shook its head and let out a loud roar. The roar shook the bubble. The other two roared also and then they all left running, looking for food elsewhere. "It's OK Sheldon. You're OK now," the Professor said as he squeezed tightly and held on to Sheldon to comfort him. "I'm sorry Sheldon, I'm sorry. I should have been more careful. I will never let you out of my sight again, I promise."
"I was scared Professor," cried Sheldon. "There were dinosaurs everywhere, and I couldn't find you guys."
"Well, I'm here now Sheldon, and everything is going to be OK."
"Where are Mikey, Dacota and Aaron?" Sheldon asked as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
"I sent them back to the machine. Let me see if I can find them on the locator."
The Professor grabbed his locator and looked to see where the other three boys were. The Professor pointed at the screen for Sheldon.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"These two yellow dots here, are you and me, and these three dots over here are Mike, Aaron and Dacota. It looks like they are still running for the Scorpium. They seem to be OK. I hope they can make it safely. Once we are in the clear here, we will head back ourselves."
The two of them sat there in the bubble holding on to each other as tightly as possible. Several more dinosaurs ran by still fleeing from the tyrannosaurs.
Mike, Aaron and Dacota were still headed for the time machine. There were dinosaurs of all sizes running all around them.
"Come on, faster. We can make it!" shouted Mike. "The
Scorpium is just over there."
The three ran as fast as they could, never letting go of each other. The time machine was in sight.
"I see the Scorpium!" shouted Aaron as he pointed to it and continued to run.
Suddenly a small dinosaur dashed directly in front of them. The dinosaur's tail sent Mike to the ground, and knocked the locator out of his hands. Dacota stumbled and also fell to the ground. Aaron maintained his balance and kept running towards the Scorpium.
"RUN AARON, YOU CAN MAKE IT!" shouted Mike as he rolled over to Dacota. "I'VE GOT DACOTA, WE'LL BE ALRIGHT, JUST DON'T STOP UNTIL YOU GET TO THE SCORPIUM!"
-----------------------------------------------------------
Mike grabbed the locator, but it wasn't working. He then found the force field generator and tried it. It worked. A bubble formed over him and Dacota. A dinosaur didn't see the bubble and ran directly into it. It fell to the ground, stunned. After a moment it jumped up and continued running.
"Man, I'm glad this thing works," Mike groaned as he laid next to Dacota. "Dacota, are you OK?"
"Yeah, where's Aaron?" stuttered Dacota as he tried to sit up and grab onto Mike.
"He kept running to the machine. It looks like he's going to make it. We'll stay here until it's safe to go," Mike said as he got back to his feet to watch all the commotion." I wonder why they're all running?"
The two stood there watching the dinosaurs run by frantically. Then they saw why. Three large tyrannosaurs suddenly appeared in front of them. One of them reached down and snatched up a small dinosaur, right in front of the bubble, and bit it completely in half. The other two had one cornered by a rock.
"They're going to eat that little dinosaur," yelled Dacota. "Do something, Mike."
"I can't do anything buddy. They might decide to eat us instead," he replied.
Just then, both tyrannosaurs lunged at the small dino-saur. It jumped and the two collided head to head. They
-----------------------------------------------------------
both fell to the ground. The dinosaur scurried around the rock and disappeared into the bushes.
"It got away Mike!" cheered Dacota.
Dacota gave Mike a high five.
The two tyrannosaurs got up, looked at each other and roared. They took off running after the other dinosaurs, and disappeared through the bushes. The other tyrannosaur finished eating its prey. It then gave a long stare at Mike and Dacota in the bubble and let out a loud roar. Mike and Dacota grabbed each other and screamed. The tyrannosaur turned and ran off in the direction of the other dinosaurs and also disappeared through the bushes.
"Now that was scary!" Mike exclaimed as he looked around outside the bubble.
"Everything looks clear. Are you ready to head for the time machine again Dacota?"
"Yeah, I guess so. But can you please carry me on your back Mike? Please, I don't want to get eaten by a dinosaur."
"Of course I will Dacota. I know what you mean. I don't want you to get eaten by a dinosaur either. I promised Dad that I would watch you guys and that nothing would happen. Now here we are lost, with a bunch of dinosaurs running around trying to eat us, Sheldon is missing, and Aaron is alone at some time machine called the Scorpium.
-----------------------------------------------------------
At least I hope he is. The locator is broke and you are the only one that I know is safe. What's Dad gonna say now?"
Mike helped Dacota up on his back. He then looked around to make sure the area was clear and then deactivated the bubble.
"There's the Scorpium Dacota, hold on tight."
"OK, Mike."
